Job description

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Part-Time Dispatcher to assist with monitoring emergency communications and coordinating information with patrol units and emergency personnel. This position plays an important role in ensuring calls and information are communicated accurately and efficiently.

The ideal candidate should remain calm under pressure, communicate clearly, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where situations and priorities can change quickly.

  • Monitor radio and telephone emergency calls.
  • Receive and relay important information to patrol units and emergency personnel.
  • Maintain accurate radio logs, call records, and other required documentation.
  • Update and maintain department records as needed.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with personnel and callers.
  • Accurately document information while managing multiple tasks.
  • Follow established procedures for handling emergency communications.
  • Perform general clerical and administrative duties as assigned.
  • Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
  • Work independently while following direction from supervisors.
  • Remain alert and focused throughout the assigned shift.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous dispatching or emergency communications experience preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to accurately record and relay information.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
  • Basic computer and clerical skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Must be willing and available to work non-standard hours , including nights, weekends, holidays, or other varying schedules as needed.
Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be reliable, responsible, professional, and able to communicate effectively in high-pressure situations . Previous dispatch, emergency communications, law enforcement, customer service, or administrative experience is a plus.
