The Arc of Bristol County in Cumberland, RI is hiring a Direct Support Professional to provide one-on-one support to individuals with developmental disabilities in community settings. You will help individuals achieve personal goals, build independent living skills, and participate in community activities.

We value timely communication with families and colleagues, accurate documentation, and compassionate care while promoting independence and social inclusion.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field/one year experience preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance and car registration.
• Ability to pass criminal background checks.

Responsabilidades

• Provide one-on-one direct support and care to individuals with IDD in community settings.
• Utilize a person-centered approach to support individuals in developing and achieving their personal goals.
• Support individuals in building and maintaining social connections and community participation.
• Maintain regular communication with individuals, their families, and other support staff.
• Document all services provided in accordance with policies and procedures.
