Job summary

Sevita’s Mentor Community Services in Festus, MO is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) on a part-time basis. You will help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities gain independence at home and in the community, with a focus on daily living skills and personal care.

Starting pay is $18.65/hour with on-demand pay available. The role offers a steady part-time schedule, extensive training, and opportunities to move into full-time or leadership positions.

Qualifications

• Be 18 or older with a high school diploma or GED (or 5 years of documented caregiving experience).
• A valid driver’s license with at least 1 year of driving history, plus a reliable, insured vehicle.
• Pass required background checks.
• Experience in caregiving, CNA, or behavioral/home health support is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with each person to build everyday skills like cooking, money management, and self-care.
• Provide personal care and support with meals with dignity and respect.
• Give medications safely once you've completed certification.
• Get out into the community together for work, appointments, shopping, and fun.
• Document progress and follow individual support plans closely.
• Be a consistent, trusted presence the people you support look forward to seeing.
