Job summary

Verland is seeking Direct Support Professionals in Hermitage, PA, to provide Exceptional Care to residents in our Hasenflu House. The role is hourly, non-exempt, with a new wage of $19.25 per hour.

Shifts are part-time (8 hours) with schedule: Week 1 7am–3pm Saturdays; Week 2 7am–3pm Thursdays; Week 3 7am–3pm Thursdays. Two weeks paid training is provided, and a comprehensive benefits package follows after the start date.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Reliable transportation to and from shift locations.
• Ability to lift and transfer residents or supplies.
• Must pass background, physical, and drug screening.
• Experience is not required.

Responsibilities

• Enrich and support residents in a safe, healthy environment.
• Encourage skill development through active treatment activities.
• Record observations and daily progress notes.
• Plan social, home, and recreational activities.
• Assist with meals, cleaning, and laundry in the house.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities in Verland vehicles.
• Assist with personal hygiene (bathing, dressing).
• Perform housekeeping duties as needed.
• Administer medications as directed.
• Other duties as assigned by supervision.
