Job summary

The Verland Foundation Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide exceptional care in our Watson House in Sewickley, PA. This hourly, non-exempt role offers a part-time night shift with pay at $20.00 per hour, and requires a high school diploma, valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation.

Training is provided and 2 weeks paid training begins upon hire. Responsibilities include individualized support for residents with complex needs, assisting with meals, activities,

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift and transfer without restrictions.
• Must pass a background, physical, and drug screening.
• Experience is not required.

Responsibilities

• Enrich and support the lives of residents while maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
• Introduce and encourage skill development through active treatment activities.
• Record observations and daily progress notes; implement individualized programs.
• Participate in planning social, home, and recreational activities.
• Assist with meals; perform housekeeping and laundry duties in the house.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities in Verland vehicles.
