BAYADA Home Health Care in Ruffin, NC is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide one-on-one support to individuals with IDD, helping them build confidence and achieve goals. The role emphasizes independence, community involvement, and compassionate care.

Responsibilities include assisting with personal care, transportation, and mentoring, with flexible part-time schedules and opportunities for growth. Pay is $15.00-$16.00 per hour, with weekly pay and benefits typical of BAYADA roles.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities preferred.
• Reliable transportation to drive clients to activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support and mentorship to individuals with IDD.
• Assist with community activities and social events participation.
• Support personal care needs including dressing and grooming.
• Transport clients to appointments, errands, and outings.
• Help clients work toward independence and goal achievement.

Skills

What You'll Do as a Special Needs Caregiver:

• Help individuals participate in community activities and social events
• Provide encouragement, mentorship, and meaningful companionship
• Support personal care needs, including dressing and grooming
• Transport clients to appointments, errands, and community outings
• Empower individuals to reach their goals and live as independently as possible

Pay & Schedule

$15.00-$16.00 per hour

• Weekly pay
• Flexible part-time schedules
• Weekdays + Weekends available
• Work close to home
