Job summary

The Wesleyan Assisted Living in Georgetown, TX is seeking a part-time Waitstaff to join our Assisted Living and Memory Care community. Experience in waitstaff or servers and a passion for excellent dining is essential.

This 20-hour-per-week role requires Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday availability from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM; duties include serving meals, preparing dining rooms, and supporting dining services in a supportive senior living environment.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Must be able to read, write and speak English.
Ability to evaluate customer satisfaction and responsiveness.
Oriented toward serving others and helping customers.
Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
A service-minded approach to all aspects of the job.
A passion for working within a senior living community is a must!

Responsibilities

Preparing drinks, salads, foods, and desserts and set them up as directed.
Prepare dining room and trays for meals.
Serve meals to residents in the dining room and/or rooms, and be available to check for seconds and substitutions.
General cleaning duties: May include dishes, pots and pans, equipment, dining room, floors, tables, work areas, etc.
Count and post meal census.
Put away groceries and supplies.
Cross-train for all positions within the department, as assigned by the supervisor.
May be responsible for the proper disposal of trash.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef or Director of Dining Service.
