Job summary

Resort Lifestyle Communities in Huntley, IL, is seeking a Part-Time Server to create meaningful dining experiences for residents in a warm, caring environment guided by our core values of Respect, Honesty, Kindness and Compassion.

You’ll join a collaborative team, respond to feedback, and help in casual and fine dining, with shifts including 7:30am–10:30am and 11:00am–2:00pm. No prior experience is required, and English communication with residents and staff is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years of age or older.
• Ability to work breakfast and/or lunch shifts (breakfast 7:30am–10:30am, lunch 11:00am–2:00pm).
• No prior work experience is required.
• Must communicate effectively in English with residents, guests, and employees.
• Ability to secure required food handler permits as required by local ordinances within two weeks of hire.
• State regulations may require certain applicants to obtain a work permit before beginning employment.

Responsibilities

• Enhance the dining experience by assisting residents in Casual Dining, carrying trays, offering beverages, and proactively meeting service needs.
• Create memorable moments in Fine Dining by warmly greeting tables, guiding residents through menu selections, taking orders, and serving courses from beverages to desserts.
• Keep the dining room looking its best by clearing and resetting tables, handling dishes, refilling water carafes, and setting tables before meals.
• Help keep things clean and organized by vacuuming carpets, cleaning the salad bar, and completing other cleaning tasks as needed.
• Deliver room service meals and pick up trays with a friendly, positive attitude.
• Listen and respond kindly to resident comments or concerns and share feedback with a manager or supervisor when needed.
• Jump in and help where needed by completing support work and other tasks assigned by supervisors or managers.
