Job summary

Elior North America is seeking a Part-Time Registered Dietitian to join the Meadowbrook healthcare team. As part of the role, you will assess nutritional needs, implement interventions, and improve patients’ quality of life in a hospital setting. Typical schedule is 24 hours per week.

You will provide nutrition education to patients, staff, and consultants, adhere to practice standards and regulations, collaborate with dining and nutrition teams, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (prior to 2024) or related field.
• Master’s degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national exam administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years per CDR.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for comprehensive assessments, care planning and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interact with other departments to set up procedures and policies related to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participate in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.
