Job summary

Cura Hospitality is seeking a Part-Time Registered Dietitian in Punxsutawney, PA to assess nutritional needs and initiate interventions for patients/residents in inpatient and outpatient settings.

The role emphasizes collaboration with the health care team, adherence to dietetics standards, and ongoing professional development. A Bachelor's degree in nutrition and applicable licensure are required, with a Master’s preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition or related field (prior to 2024).
• Passed a national examination by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or eligible.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years per CDR.
• Licensed or certified as required by state.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to develop procedures and policies for dining service and nutrition.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement programs.
