Job summary

Cura Hospitality is seeking a Part-Time Registered Dietitian to join our team at Punxsutawney, PA. You will assess the nutritional needs of patients/residents, initiate interventions to maintain status, and enhance quality of life in a clinical setting serving inpatient and outpatient care.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in nutrition, CDR eligibility or certification, and ability to educate the care team and residents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field.
• Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR, utilizing the professional portfolio development process.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interact with other departments in setting up procedures and policies, and in problem solving as it relates to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participate in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.
