Cura Hospitality serves hospitals and long-term care facilities and is seeking a Part-Time Registered Dietitian for Punxsutawney, PA. The role involves assessing nutritional needs of patients/residents and initiating interventions to maintain or improve nutritional status in inpatient and outpatient settings.

You will work with the health care team, educate patients and staff, and help develop care plans while adhering to regulatory standards and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field.
• Passed a national examination administered by the CDR or meets the Academy requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years, per CDR guidelines.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for comprehensive assessments and care planning.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsabilités

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients, staff, or consultants.
• Follow standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to set up procedures related to dining and nutrition.
• Contribute to continuous quality improvement programs.
