Job summary

Cura Hospitality in Punxsutawney, PA is seeking a Part-Time Registered Dietitian to join our healthcare team. You will assess nutritional needs of patients, plan interventions, and support care teams in inpatient and outpatient settings.

This clinical role emphasizes quality of life and evidence-based practice. Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in nutrition and licensure, plus ongoing CEU commitments; master’s degree is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field.
• Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics eligibility requirements.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years per CDR.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards of practice and facility requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to set up procedures and policies related to dining and nutrition.
• Participate in development, review, and revision of quality improvement programs.
