Job summary

MediLodge of Midland is seeking a part-time Dietary Cook to prepare meals for residents and staff, following dietary guidelines and quality standards. The role emphasizes safe food handling, accurate portioning, and appealing presentation in a healthcare setting.

The successful candidate will have basic cooking experience, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt menus for therapeutic diets as needed. Training and support are provided to ensure quality patient care and compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of tenth grade or above; GED or High School Diploma preferred.
• Six months’ experience in large quantity food preparation; therapeutic diet preparation preferred.
• ServSafe Food Safety Certification preferred, or other state/county requirement.

Responsibilities

• Reviews menus prior to preparation of food.
• Prepares food for regular and therapeutic diets according to the menu and events.
• Prepares items to meet residents’ individual needs and preferences.
