Job summary

CommonSail Investment Group is seeking a Dietary Aide for a part-time shift from 8am to 2pm at StoryPoint Rockford. The role involves plating meals, maintaining sanitation, and supporting a resident-focused food service program in a senior living environment.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, good communication skills, and the ability to manage meal service for multiple residents while adhering to dietary guidelines and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma (or equivalent) or technical school.
• Ability to work independently and manage meal service for 20 residents.
• Some food service work experience.
• Great communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle, transport and plate food for residents, guests and employees.
• Plate food according to the planned menu using standard recipes.
• Plate items following portion guidelines and garnishing instructions.
• Assist other kitchen staff and perform duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Ensure sufficient food is prepped and prepared.
• Communicate shortages or outages to supervisor.
• Ensure freshness and proper temperature of all served food.
• Maintain daily logs and documentation for meal services.
• Stock and clean station for next shift.
• Follow proper food rotation policies.
• Operate equipment safely.
• Report discrepancies to executive chef.
• Delivers and retrieves food carts to satellite kitchens.
• Set up service line and prepare for meal service.
• Wash, sanitize and store dishes and utensils.
• Maintain sanitation throughout work areas.
• Perform cleaning duties as required.
• Inventories and stocks food and paper goods in satellite kitchens.
• Prepare snacks and beverages for between-meal service.
• Report malfunctioning equipment to the executive chef.
