Job summary

Scripps Health seeks a part-time Diet Clerk for our Corporate Dietary Call Center in 4S Ranch. You will process diet orders, assist patients with menu selections, and clarify food and medication allergies. The role requires supporting Food and Nutrition Services in a fast-paced setting.

This position includes evening shifts and weekend work, with full benefits. Previous EMR experience and nutrition coursework are a plus; bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have SD County Food Handler Card or Food Safety Certificate, or pass within 30 days of hire.
• Experience working in fast-paced healthcare or foodservice environments.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Process diet orders and assist patients with menu selections.
• Distinguish between food and medication allergies; maintain current diet orders and menus.
• Serve as liaison between Nursing and Food and Nutrition Services to handle patient inquiries and resolve diet-related issues.
• Work effectively in a high-volume call center environment.
