Job summary

Sysco Pittsburgh, LLC is seeking a Part-Time Diesel Fleet Technician I to support Fleet Technician II and III with preventive maintenance and repairs. You will learn to diagnose, inspect and service a variety of vehicles and equipment to reduce downtime and improve reliability.

Interested applicants should have a basic understanding of vehicle systems, be willing to learn, and possess a valid driver's license. CDL preferred. Tool allowance and uniforms are provided, with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training (2-year school) preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• No experience required
• CDL preferred

Responsibilities

• Learn to perform required inspections and preventive maintenance under guidance to maximize safety and reliability.
• Learn to perform Fleet Inspection (FAI/CVI) on all fleet vehicles under supervision.
• Follow federal, state and local inspections and frequencies.
• Perform quality maintenance inspections per Sysco methods under guidance of senior technicians.
• Assist with repairs to engines, transmissions, brakes, HVAC and electrical systems as needed.
• Document work orders accurately and promptly under supervision.
