Job summary

Secor Dental Associates, part of Heartland Dental, is seeking a Temp Part-Time Dental Assistant in Michigan. The role requires MI x-ray certification or willingness to obtain it, and will support the dental team with patient care, x-rays, and chairside assistance.

The schedule is Mon 8am-6pm, Tue/Wed 8am-5pm, and Thu 8am-4pm, with a collaborative team environment focused on delivering high-quality patient experiences.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• X-ray certification and/or dental assistant certification as required by state act.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey and educate them.
• Review patient health history to provide quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance during procedures following safe practices.
• Manage scheduling and patient records in Dentrix.
• Maintain treatment rooms with safety protocols and OSHA & CDC guidelines.
• Monitor supplies and place orders to support workflow.
