Job summary

Heartland Dental is seeking a Temp PT Dental Assistant in Michigan who is x-ray certified or willing to obtain certification. The role involves greeting patients, reviewing medical history, taking x-rays, and providing four-handed chairside assistance to our supported doctors.

You will also manage supplies and use Dentrix for scheduling and records, all within a safety-focused practice. The ideal candidate has experience in fast-paced environments, strong communication skills, and is committed

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification as required by state dental practice act.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and data safeguards awareness.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients and educate throughout treatment.
• Review health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments.
• Provide chairside assistance during procedures.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and records.
• Prepare treatment rooms with safety protocols (OSHA & CDC).
• Manage supply and inventory levels; place orders as needed.
• Collaborate with providers to improve office workflow.
