Job summary

Dental Care of Citrus Groves in Arizona is seeking a part-time Dental Assistant to join our team. Schedule: Mon 7:30am-4:00pm, Tue 8:30am-6:00pm, Wed 7:30am-5:00pm. This role offers a patient‑focused environment within Heartland Dental's network and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of chairside dental assisting experience.
• Dentrix or other dental software experience.
• RHS and coronal polishing certificates are required.
• Strong communication and ability to learn the doctor’s workflow.
• Supportive, positive attitude and teamwork.
• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Dental assistant and/or x-ray certification as required by state law.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection awareness.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients and educate them throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments.
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) during procedures.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record-keeping.
• Prepare treatment room following safety protocols (OSHA & CDC).
• Manage supplies and place/expedite orders as needed.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems.
