Longbow Dental Care, operating under Heartland Dental, is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team in Mesa, AZ. You will greet patients, review health histories, take x‑rays, and provide chairside support to dentists while upholding safety and privacy standards.

The role emphasizes teamwork, accuracy, and patient education, with opportunities to grow within a leading national dental support organization. Full-time hours are provided in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience working in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment.
• If required under the state dental practice act, dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and data safeguards awareness.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, sustaining patient comfort and providing education.
• Review patient health history to inform quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to supported dentists.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment room with safety protocols and OSHA & CDC guidelines.
• Manage supply and inventory levels and expedite orders as needed.
