Job summary

Webster Dental Care in Illinois is seeking a Dental Assistant who brings hands-on experience with dental instruments, procedures, and sterilization to support Dentists and Hygienists. You will assist in four-handed dentistry, take diagnostics like digital X-rays, provide comfort to anxious patients, document treatments, and maintain operatory cleanliness and OSHA compliance.

A HS diploma and dental assisting experience are required; knowledge of HIPAA and insurance basics is a plus.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Dental assisting experience and knowledge of dental terminology are required.
• HIPAA/OSHA knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists and hygienists with clinical procedures.
• Perform four-handed dentistry with general procedures.
• Take diagnostics such as digital x-rays, impressions, IO photos.
• Provide comfort and empathy to patients to ease dental anxiety.
• Give verbal post-operative instructions to patients as needed.
• Document diagnosed treatments in patient charts.
• Maintain stocked and clean operatories.
• Maintain dental equipment and sterilization.
• Help patients understand oral health and schedule appointments.
