Job summary

Harris Teeter is seeking a part-time associate who will take excellent care of customers by satisfying their needs and exceeding their expectations. The job requires product knowledge, food preparation skills, sales ability, and strong customer relations in a team environment.

Responsibilities include preparing, processing, packaging and stocking products to Fresh Foods Standards, providing customer service, cleaning work areas, unloading stock, and handling salvage items.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos in English.
• Ability to write simple correspondence in English.
• Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings.

Responsibilities

• Take excellent care of customers by satisfying their needs and exceeding their expectations.
• Prepare, process, package, and stock products according to Fresh Foods Standards.
• Provide customer service, clean work areas, unload stock, and reload salvage products.
• Assist with training and teamwork to maintain a productive store environment.
