St. Norbert College is seeking a part-time Prep Cook to join our dining team. Hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 2:00 pm, aligning with the school calendar and summers off.

You will assist with meal production, including prep, cooking, and clean-up, and work under supervision to maintain quality and safety in a busy campus kitchen.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with quantity food preparation preferred.
• 1–2 years of food production experience in an institutional setting preferred.
• Knowledge of state sanitation and food safety regulations.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills.
• Ability to communicate professionally and resolve concerns.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and meet deadlines.
• Equivalent credentials or experience may be considered.

Responsabilités

• Attend daily staff huddles and required trainings (AllerTrain, ServSafe, EAP).
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary production area.
• Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, equipment and workspaces.
• Prepare menu items per standardized recipes for meals, catering, and cash operations.
• Assist chefs with ingredient prep for meal plans and events.
• Follow safe work practices and ensure personal and coworker safety.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and departmental procedures.
• Ensure food quality and presentation through proper batch production.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
