Job summary

St. Norbert College in De Pere is seeking a part-time Prep Cook with daytime hours aligned to the school calendar, typically Monday through Friday 8:00 am–2:00 pm, summers off.

The role supports meal production, sanitation, and kitchen operations for campus dining and events. The Prep Cook assists chefs with standardized recipes, maintains clean facilities, and follows safety protocols to ensure high-quality food for students and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience with quantity food preparation is preferred.
• 1-2 years of food production experience in an institutional setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of state sanitation and food safety regulations.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Attend daily staff huddles and required training (e.g., AllerTrain, ServSafe).
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary food production environment.
• Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, kitchen equipment, and work areas.
• Prepare menu items according to standardized recipes for meals, catering events, and cash operations.
• Assist chefs and supervisors with ingredient preparation for meal plans and events.
• Follow safe work practices and food safety regulations.
• Ensure food quality and presentation through proper batch production.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
