Family Dollar in Kannapolis, NC is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to help customers, operate the register, stock shelves, and maintain a clean, safe store.

You will assist with questions, process transactions, unload shipments as needed, and provide friendly, respectful service to customers and teammates.

The role emphasizes reliability, physical stamina for lifting up to 50 lbs, and the ability to follow store procedures while delivering a positive shopping experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous retail or customer service in a similar environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs. and perform frequent bending, standing, and walking.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders
• Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, trash, and overall neatness
