Job summary

Family Dollar in Warfield, Kentucky is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to provide a friendly, efficient shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions, stock shelves, and help maintain a clean, safe store environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, reliable attendance, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs and work a physical shift. Prior retail or customer service experience is preferred, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with professional interactions.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store; clean and restock bathrooms, sweep and mop floors, take out trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
