Job summary

Family Dollar in Hardinsburg, KY is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers with questions and recommendations, and manage sales transactions at the register.

You will maintain store cleanliness, stock shelves, unload shipments, and ensure security of cash and assets. The role requires strong customer service, organization, and communication skills. This is a part-time position with equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience in customer service in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and handle standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, pushing/pulling.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Unloading trucks and stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and presentable store environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
