Job summary

City of Amarillo is seeking a part-time Custodian to perform general custodial duties at the Warford Center, ensuring floors, surfaces and restrooms are kept clean to an acceptable standard. This role requires weekend availability and occasional event support.

The ideal candidate will operate cleaning equipment, perform minor repairs as needed, and adhere to safety procedures. Flexible schedule and weather-related shifts are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Flexible schedule including nights, holidays, special events, and inclement weather.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps, dust mops, wet mops, strips, waxes, spray buffs and power washes floors.
• Vacuums carpet, dusts furniture and walls, and cleans fixtures.
• Cleans and sanitizes restrooms.
• Power washes locker rooms and showers.
• Empties trash containers and disposes of trash.
• Cleans glass doors, windows, display cases, desks, and telephones.
• Replaces light bulbs and cleans fixtures as needed.
• Performs snow removal at entrances and walkways.
