Job summary

The University of Kansas invites qualified professionals for a part-time, Temporary Instructor pool. This adjunct, non-tenure track position will teach a range of undergraduate and master’s level courses during the Fall 2026 semester. Renewal depends on needs, funding, and performance, for up to two consecutive semesters.

Eligibility to work in the U.S. is required; remote work outside Kansas is not available. Applications reviewed on an ongoing basis.

Qualifications

: Earned master's degree in Curriculum & Instruction or other field appropriate to subject area being taught is required to teach undergraduate courses.
: Earned doctoral degree in Curriculum & Instruction or other field appropriate to subject area being taught is required to teach graduate level courses.

Responsibilities

Teach one or more sections of courses in areas such as Curriculum Development, Instructional Strategies, English Education, Foreign Language Education, Literacy/Reading Education, Mathematics Education, Science Education, Social Studies Education, Teaching English as a Second Language, and Gifted Education.
Develop course materials, syllabi, lectures and assignments; grade student work; advise students and hold office hours.
