Job summary

Fresno City College invites applications for a part-time Culinary Arts and Food Service Management Instructor. Assignments may include afternoons (1-5 PM), two days per week, 2-3 hours per day, with potential evenings, weekends, online or off-campus sessions.

The instructor will use varied pedagogies, develop syllabi, evaluate student progress, and uphold standards of professional conduct. Evidence of equity-minded practice is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher and two years of related experience, or
• The equivalent education and/or experience may be accepted.

Responsibilities

• Teach culinary arts or food service management courses.
• Using a variety of instructional delivery systems including technology for face-to-face, online, and hybrid formats.
• Communicate effectively with students and maintain course syllabi and records.
• Evaluate student progress through tests, assignments, and exams.
