Job summary

Settlement Music School’s Kardon Center for Arts Therapy is seeking part-time contracted creative arts therapists to serve children and adults across five Philadelphia-area locations and its online branch.

Therapists provide art, music, and dance/movement therapy with varied client ages and needs, including off-site work. Bachelor’s in a related field is required; MT-BC or ATR-BC / BC-DMT credentials preferred. Competitive hourly rates apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy required; master's strongly preferred.
• Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) or intent to certify within 6 months.
• Certification in Art Therapy (ATR-BC) or Dance/Movement Therapy (BC-DMT) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop treatment goals with individuals or groups aged appropriately.
• Conduct weekly music therapy sessions, individually or in groups.
• Create accommodations/adaptations to meet client needs.
• Maintain timely communication with community partners and directors.
• Be flexible to adapt to client and program needs.
• Complete assessments and submit documentation promptly.
