Job summary

Settlement Music School is seeking the Kardon Center for Arts Therapy Director to lead clinical services, administration, and growth of KCAT. The role supervises therapists, ensures regulatory compliance, and partners with branches and external organizations to expand access to services.

The director will supervise a team, develop programs, and manage budgets while advancing the visibility of creative arts therapy across the Greater Philadelphia region.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Music Therapy, Art Therapy, or Dance Movement Therapy.
• Board Certification MT-BC, ATR-BC, or BC-DMT.
• Clinical licensure and eligibility to provide supervision under Pennsylvania regulations preferred.
• Minimum five years of experience providing creative arts therapy services preferred.
• Minimum three years of supervisory or program management experience preferred.
• Demonstrated success in staff leadership, program development, or community engagement.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Salesforce, Ensora, and related systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, vision and strategic direction for KCAT and settlements across branches.
• Supervise KCAT Coordinator and oversee arts therapists and program initiatives.
• Grow client base, expand services, and partner with universities and healthcare providers.
• Ensure compliance with Medicaid, HIPAA and insurance standards.
• Oversee operational systems and collaboration with Finance for billing and budgets.
• Collaborate with Communications and Advancement on marketing and fundraising.
• Attend administrative and school-wide events and advocate for creative arts therapy.
