Job summary

Fairmount Behavioral Health System in Philadelphia is seeking a Per Diem Creative Arts Therapist to join our team. You will assess patients’ leisure activities, lead therapy groups using arts modalities, and help develop safety plans in line with our treatment philosophy.

The therapist must be flexible to work with children, adolescents and adults, with a Master’s degree in Counseling or related field and PA licensure preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Counseling and/or related field with specialization in a creative arts/allied therapy modality.
• One (1) year prior experience in Behavioral health field preferred.
• PA professional license preferred but not required; current registration/certification/licensure in accordance with state/national standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ leisure and recreational activities and lead therapy groups using creative arts modalities and talk therapy.
• Help patients develop safety/crisis plans and establish behavioral treatment goals.
• Demonstrate flexibility for reassignment to units serving varied populations including children, adolescents and adults.
