Job summary

Right At School is hiring a Part Time Educator Substitute for Chicago Public Schools. The role supports before/after school programs with flexible hours and travel among CPS locations, starting at $17/hr.

You’ll deliver engaging lessons, supervise students, and partner with school staff to ensure safety and student well-being. Ideal candidates have strong customer service, teamwork, and at least 1 year of experience with children under 13; college credits in related fields are preferred.

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service and relationship building skills.
• Works well in a team environment.
• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13.
• College credits in early childhood education, child development, elementary education or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize program materials for lessons and activities, and document attendance and incidents.
• Deliver our daily curriculum to engage children and support school-day learning.
• Model positive guidance and maintain safety and focus of all children.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff and school personnel.
• Meet regularly with the Program Manager regarding progress and accountability.
