Job summary

The City of Billings is seeking ARC Support Staff to help prepare, clean, and safely manage athletic courts for games, tournaments, and public use. This part-time role offers evenings and weekend hours with flexible shifts to fit event schedules, while keeping facilities operational and hazards minimal.

Qualifications

• Must meet minimum age requirements.
• Knowledge of sports layouts (basketball/volleyball/pickleball) for correct court setups.
• Excellent situational awareness to spot safety hazards quickly.
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with players, coaches, and guests.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• High physical stamina to stand/move for shifts up to 8 hours.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Dependable transportation for early morning or late-night setups.

Responsibilities

• Court Setup & Tear Down: assemble and adjust equipment for games and events.
• Facility Maintenance: clean courts during shifts, mop floors, wipe high-touch areas.
• Safety Enforcement: monitor courts, ensure proper footwear and safe play.
• Spill & Hazard Response: address hazards to prevent injuries during events.
• Tournament Support: coordinate with officials to keep transitions on schedule.
• Equipment Inventory: inspect nets/balls and store gear after events.
