Job summary

City of Billings is seeking an ARC Court Supervisor to oversee daily court operations, manage on-floor staff, and be the first point of contact for directors, coaches, and patrons. The role emphasizes safety, timely schedules, and maintaining court setup and cleanliness in a fast-paced athletic environment.

Salary ranges from $16.00 to $18.00 per hour with evenings Monday–Friday and weekend event coverage. Expect 15–30 hours weekly with flexible hours based on events and facility needs.

Qualifications

• Must meet minimum age requirements.
• Leadership or supervisory experience in sports or recreation preferred.
• Knowledge of tournament structures and sports rules (basketball/volleyball/pickleball/futsal).
• Strong conflict resolution and communication skills for high-stress situations.
• Ability to stand/walk and monitor multiple courts for long periods.
• Ability to assist staff with lifting and moving sports equipment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily court operations and on-floor support staff.
• Serve as initial contact for tournament directors, coaches, and patrons.
• Enforce safety protocols, ensure on-time event schedules, and maintain court cleanliness/setup.
• Manage shift logistics: opening, court readiness inspections, lockdowns, end-of-night securement.
• Coordinate with court rental users and tournament hosts for smooth game transitions.
