Job summary

Del Mar College is seeking a part-time Court Reporting Instructor to teach Continuing Education Court Reporting courses at various times and locations, adapting to institutional needs and promoting high instructional quality.

You will develop diverse teaching methods, evaluate student progress, and maintain attendance and grade submissions in accordance with college policies. Collaboration with colleagues and the community is encouraged, with CSR standards emphasized.

Qualifications

• Ability to evaluate the performance of students regarding achievements in curriculum and activities and make necessary provisions to meet learning needs.
• Ability to prepare lectures and practical demonstrations for students in class.
• Ability to maintain appropriate professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.
• Ability to utilize instructional technologies, including computers, internet resources, and other appropriate media instruction.
• Ability to plan course instruction based upon approved syllabus/outline, provided to ensure course content and objectives are met.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned Continuing Education Court Reporting courses in a variety of times and locations to meet institutional need.
• Develop and use a variety of teaching methods and materials to assist students who have differing backgrounds in meeting course outcomes.
• Maintain daily attendance rosters. Input final student grades and submit grade sheets to Career Training.
• Evaluate students to measure progress toward achievement of stated course outcomes within college policy.
• Maintain and review student learning materials and ensure CSR standards are met.
• Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.
