Job summary

MCHAP is seeking a Part-Time Chaplain in Indiana to serve company employees and their families. You will visit worksites weekly, provide confidential pastoral support, and coordinate referrals for needs while upholding Christian ministry values.

Responsibilities include funerals, bereavement support, spiritual enrichment activities, and collaboration with executives to meet employee care needs in a field setting.

• Ability to work in an interfaith setting with diverse groups.
• Effective listening and communication with employees and families.
• Diplomacy, patience, and courtesy in stressful situations.
• Spiritual maturity and commitment to Christian values.
• Strong written and verbal communication and documentation.
• Ability to analyze information and follow up on objectives.
• Proficient with Google Suites, Microsoft Office, and related software.

Responsibilities

• Serve as messenger of faith, mission, and purpose within client sites.
• Make regular visits to worksites to build trust and relationships.
• Provide confidential pastoral discussions and referrals as needed.
• Assist in planning or attending funerals and bereavement support.
• Support post-termination care and transitions for workers.
• Facilitate spiritual enrichment activities when appropriate.
• Provide resources to employees and represent chaplain services to clients.
