Job Description

Part‑time Coordinator III, Foundation provides oversight and facilitation of day‑to‑day and some long‑term operations within the Lone Star College Foundation area. The role plays a strong role in leading, planning, development, evaluation and improvement. The coordinator ensures smooth and efficient operations and compliance with policies, procedures and a variety of local, state and federal regulations. They coordinate logistics, services and support surrounding diverse programs and departments, making and communicating process decisions based on best practices. A wide variety of related duties will be required depending upon the workload and activities at any given time.

Purpose and Scope

The Part‑time Coordinator III, Foundation oversees daily and some long‑term operations of the assigned area, actively maintains up‑to‑date knowledge of the area and acts as point of contact and liaison for internal constituents. They oversee the entry, tracking and maintenance of a variety of data, including documents, spreadsheets and databases, presenting findings to Foundation staff. They may be responsible for ensuring and maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal processes and documentation requirements, and plan, schedule and coordinate various meetings and events, including site selection and preparation, marketing and training materials, and general support. They coordinate with Financial Aid offices to receive, organize and mail all student to donor thank‑you letters each semester, provide support for all Foundation events including tracking of silent auction items for StarGala, provide administrative support with accounting functions to the Foundation Accountant, take part in and/or lead special projects as needed, and perform other reasonable related duties as assigned.

Essential Job Functions
  1. Oversees daily and some long‑term operations of assigned area, actively maintains up‑to‑date knowledge of area and acts as point of contact and liaison for internal constituents.
  2. Enters, tracks and maintains a variety of data, including documents, spreadsheets and databases, and presents findings to Foundation staff.
  3. May be responsible for ensuring and maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal processes and documentation requirements.
  4. Plans, schedules and coordinates various meetings/events, including site selection and preparation, marketing and training materials, and general support.
  5. Coordinates with Financial Aid offices to receive, organize and mail all student to donor thank‑you letters each semester.
  6. Provides support for all Foundation events, including tracking of silent auction items for StarGala.
  7. Provides administrative support with accounting functions to Foundation Accountant, including but not limited to logging and tracking a variety of data, support with annual audit, preparation of committee meeting minutes.
  8. Takes part in and/or leads special projects as needed.
  9. Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned.

Physical Abilities

The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts, or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.

Work Schedule and Conditions
  • Equipment used includes PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone and other general office equipment.
  • Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position.
  • Work is performed in a climate‑controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards.
Required Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree and at least 1 year of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Salary

Hourly Pay Rate is $21.82.
