Job summary

Lone Star College - Houston North Victory is seeking a Part-Time Coordinator III, Dual Credit to manage scheduling and coordination for dual credit and early college programs.

The successful candidate will liaison with ISD personnel, help build course sections, maintain records, and ensure compliance with state policies and procedures. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree and at least 1 year of related work experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of dual credit and early college high school programs (preferred).
  • Ability to coordinate communication between high schools and college divisions.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate communication between area high schools and academic divisions to schedule dual credit sections.
  • Provide faculty and staff with required assistance and communication to support dual credit programs.
  • Utilize data and reports to plan and run dual credit schedules and ECHS programming.
  • Maintain records of communications with ISD personnel and partner schools.
  • Assist the Dean of Academic Partnerships and Initiatives as needed to grow and support dual credit programs.

Job Description
PURPOSE AND SCOPE

The PT Coordinator III, Dual Credit serves as the part time coordinator for the dual credit and early college high school programs. The position will be responsible for the coordination of communication and planning for dual credit course scheduling including serving as a contact at the college for ISD personnel associated with the dual credit and early college high school programs. This position will be responsible for coordinating communication between area high schools and the academic divisions and departments for scheduling dual credit and early college high school course sections.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  1. Coordinate communication between area high schools and academic divisions to facilitate building dual credit course sections
  2. Provide faculty and staff with required assistance and communication between the college and high schools to support efficient management of dual credit sections
  3. Utilize current technology and software to access data to support dual credit and ECHS programming
  4. Maintain records of communication between LSC-K and area high schools
  5. Run appropriate reports and create schedules for dual credit and ECHS programs
  6. Facilitate and assist in communication with dual credit instructors to collect grades, course syllabi, etc.
  7. Assist area high schools in developing and expanding their dual credit programs
  8. Assist the Dean of Academic Partnerships and Initiatives as needed to grow and support the dual credit and ECHS programming
  9. Maintain a current knowledge of Texas law, THECB policies and other policies, practices and procedures governing dual credit and early college high school
  10. Assist dual credit and ECHS students and parents when necessary to answer questions and provide support in navigating the college environment
  11. Assists with office duties; updating and maintaining limited databases, running reports, filing paperwork
  12. Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned

PHYSICAL ABILITIES

The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.

WORK SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS
  • Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone and other general office equipment
  • Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position
  • Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate's degree and at least 1 year of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor¿s degree
  • Knowledge of dual credit and early college high school programs and regulations
Salary

Hourly Pay Rate is $22.26 per hour.
