Job summary

Lone Star College is seeking a PT Coordinator II, Theater to coordinate logistics, services, and support for Theatre productions. You will manage front-of-house operations, liaise with external rentals, and assist with rentals and office duties in a busy campus venue.

Position requires a high school diploma or GED with at least five years of related experience. The role includes cash handling, equipment management, and strong customer service in a college theater setting on site at Conroe, TX.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED and at least 5 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees theatre and recital hall front-of-house operations including greeters, ushers and theatre technicians.
  • Manages and handles cash for the box office.
  • Handles inquiries and complaints from patrons.
  • Serves as liaison between the department and external rentals.
  • Ensures proper use of the facilities and compliance with usage rules.
  • Assists visitors, faculty and staff as needed.
  • Assists in preparation of estimates for rentals.
  • Processes rental contracts including verifying payment, insurance and signed contracts.
  • Provides information and handles matters within scope of knowledge and responsibility.
  • Assist with office duties; updating database, filing paperwork.
  • Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned.

Job Description

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

The PT Coordinator II, Theater coordinates logistics, services, and support concerning the Theatre and during Theatre productions. Includes coordinating support functions and house activities to ensure smooth operations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  1. Oversees the theatre and recital hall front-of-house operations, including greeters, ushers and theatre technicians
  2. Manages and handles cash for the box office
  3. Handles inquiries and complaints from patrons
  4. Serves as liaison between the department and external rentals
  5. Ensures proper use of the facilities and compliance of all usage rules
  6. Assists visitors, faculty and staff as needed
  7. Assists in preparation of estimates for rentals
  8. Processes rental contracts including verifying payment, insurance and signed contracts
  9. Provides information and handles matters within the scope of knowledge and responsibility
  10. Assist with office duties; updating database, filing paperwork
  11. Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

PHYSICAL ABILITIES

The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.

WORK SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS
  • Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone and other general office equipment
  • Internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position
  • Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or GED and at least 5 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Salary

Hourly Pay Rate is $20.29
