Job summary

The State of New Hampshire, Sununu Youth Services Center is seeking a part-time Cook II to prepare meals for residents in accordance with menus, ensuring nutrition and variety while maintaining kitchen cleanliness. You will work closely with staff to support dietary needs and safety protocols.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid NH driver’s license, with preference for prior large-scale cooking experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent credential.
• Valid NH driver’s license.
• Neat appearance and personal hygiene required.
• Preferred: experience cooking on a large scale.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares food items such as poultry, meat, fish, and vegetables according to a pre-established menu.
• Cuts and slices meats, vegetables, fruit, etc. as required.
• Distributes meals to various units and retrieves empty food carriers.
• Cleans kitchen equipment, storage boxes and areas, and manages daily trash disposal.
• Performs daily inventory checks on utensils and kitchen equipment for safety and security.
• Assists other food service staff and adheres to safety policies and procedures.
