Job summary

The New Hampshire Food Bank is seeking a Production Prep Cook to support the Production Chef and Chef Instructor in food preparation, volunteer coordination, and outreach activities. This is a full-time role with responsibilities that include catering and food truck events, inventory control, and kitchen safety.

Qualified applicants have a high school diploma or GED, 1 year of experience, plus ServSafe and forklift training or the ability to obtain them within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of experience.
• ServSafe Manager's Certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
• Forklift Driver Training/Certification within twelve months of hire.
• Food prep/cooking knowledge and experience using knives and commercial kitchen equipment.
• Experience or training in a fast-paced commercial kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Assist Culinary Team in food production.
• Assist Production Chef in the preparation of partner agency meals.
• Aide in guiding volunteer opportunities within the kitchen related to bulk meal production and cleaning as needed.
• Help maintain temperature logs and inventory records daily.
• Assist with the development and management of outreach and events including catering and food truck as directed by the Chef Instructor.
• Maintain cleanliness of all culinary department work areas and equipment.
• Pick agency meal orders and maintain inventory control.
