GlenBrook Health Center in Carlsbad, CA, seeks a Cook I/II for part-time, temporary work to prepare and serve meals per standardized recipes in a skilled nursing environment. Responsibilities include assisting with prep, inventory, and food safety while maintaining high quality and adherence to physician orders when applicable.

The role emphasizes teamwork, proper sanitation, and on-the-job coaching of Utility, Cook II, and Cook I staff as needed.

Qualificações

• Minimum of two years’ experience as a cook in a hotel, restaurant, retirement community or healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance.
• Some knowledge of nutrition and diet.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and serve food items per standardized recipes (soups, stocks, sauces, sauté, braises, roasts, fries, steams, grills, bakes, short order).
• Assist with restocking, rotation of supplies, and inventory management and food safety.
• Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours and ensure quality, appearance, and temperature of food.
• Adhere to sanitation standards and safety procedures; follow dietician production sheets for skilled nursing environments.
