La Costa Glen Carlsbad is actively seeking qualified cooks to join our culinary team. Cook I, II, and III positions offer hourly starting wages based on experience and a chance to contribute to distinctive dishes for our residents in a fast-paced, professional kitchen.

Your role emphasizes precise recipe execution, kitchen cleanliness, budgeting awareness, and teamwork. Experience in hotel, restaurant, or retirement living settings is valued; disability- and drug-screening procedures apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year experience as a cook in a hotel, restaurant, club or similar company.
• Ability to plan and organize work, to interpret instructions, recipes, specifications and standards.
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance. Some knowledge of nutrition and diet.
• Culinary education preferred.
• Drug screening, physical exam with TB test, and FBI/DOJ background clearance required (over 18).
• Legally Authorized to work in the United States.

• Read and follow recipes accurately to bring them to life.
• Communicate effectively with diverse people in the kitchen and with residents.
