Job summary

Central Oregon Community College seeks a Part-Time Instructor for the Construction Pre-Apprenticeship program. You will instruct students, lead discussions, and evaluate performance in a hands-on, interactive setting across campuses, online, or remote.

Responsibilities include maintaining office hours, using LMS and related software, and contributing to course assessment. Travel between campus locations may be required; teaching hours include day, evening, or weekend slots.

Qualifications

• Degree or credential appropriate in the field of primary teaching assignment (AAS, BS, or MS depending on the program) or minimum of 24 quarter hours (16 semester hours) in the field.
• One year demonstrated successful teaching or potential for excellence in teaching.
• One-year relevant experience working in an apprenticeship related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction using approved course outcome guides; assignments may be day, evening, or weekend.
• Hold at least one office hour per class per week for student help sessions.
• Utilize Learning Management System and related tools to support teaching activities.
• Participate in course assessment and program objectives.
• Travel to multiple campuses or online/remote teaching as needed.
