Job summary

Central Oregon Community College in Redmond, OR is seeking a part-time instructor to teach Machining in certificate and AAS programs. You will lead lectures, supervise lab work, and assess student progress in self-paced labs or live classes.

Responsibilities include curriculum collaboration, advising students on career paths, and coordinating with the Business Department. A strong machining background and ability to work with diverse learners are required; familiarity with Zoom and the campus

Qualifications

• Associates degree and 5 years machining or closely related discipline.
• One year of secondary or college-level teaching or advising.
• Evidence of excellence in instruction and ability to work with diverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in Machining courses in classroom, remote, or online delivery modes.
• Lead laboratory practices and evaluate student performance in self-paced labs.
• Collaborate on curriculum development and participate in course evaluation.
• Assist students with career planning and job placement, and act as a resource person.
• Attend trainings and support COCC’s instructional goals.
