David Donehower Funeral & Cremation Service is seeking a part-time Transfer Care Specialist to support families with compassion and professionalism. This role goes beyond driving, offering comfort during difficult times and reliable coordination of transfers.

You will handle removal, care, and transport of decedents, interact with bereaved families, and maintain company vehicles, while meeting safety and dress code standards. Availability nights, weekends, and on-call is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to climb stairs.
• Physical ability to lift over 50 pounds.
• Physical ability to roll or move 200 pounds.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and on-call hours.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle the removal, care, and transport of a decedent with professionalism and integrity.
• Provide transportation to various surrounding communities.
• Safely drive company-owned vehicles to perform first-call transfers of a decedent, following local and state protocols, policies, and procedures.
• Interact professionally and courteously with bereaved family members when performing home transfers.
• Keep company vehicles clean and well maintained.
• Follow company dress code.
