Job summary

Foundation Partners Group is seeking a Transfer Care Specialist to serve as the first contact for families during the transfer of the decedent, ensuring compassionate and professional service.

You will transport decedents from facilities to the funeral home, maintain composure in sensitive moments, and support the team with on-call shifts, paperwork accuracy, and follow-through on required tasks. This role emphasizes empathy, safety, and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

• Valid state-issued drivers license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 100 lbs safely; knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Composure and compassion in handling families during transfers.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and apply feedback constructively.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective internal and external work processes.

Responsibilities

• Compassionate and empathetic point of contact for families during transfer of the decedent.
• Safely transport decedents and operate logistics with GPS/direction apps.
• Be willing to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends; drive hearse as needed.
• Ensure paperwork is completed accurately and on time per laws and regulations.
• Receive tasks, determine order of operations, and complete them promptly.
• Maintain professional appearance and assist with related duties (e.g., washing vehicles).
